Initially, when i’d first bought my mobile and started using the Nokia Chat app, it worked very smoothly – no issues nothing. But later, when i started using the device (yes, device. The app crashed when i used to multi-task) fully, the app crashed many times. Read on to see what i have to suggest..
What Can Be Done – My Ideas!
>> There are only 4 services right now, something i’d want to be taken care of. A versatile app which allows chatting with any service (or most of them) is highly desirable.
>> And yes, a majority of us want the app to behave more like the PC client does.
>> The fact that its a java client even for Symbian devices sends out a wrong message. For S60 and above, let the client be a native ‘.sis’ one.
For the S40 devices, either integrate it in the Messaging menu, or make a java version. I’m yet to get a new device (running on S^3) so, cant comment on that.
>> Another option could be removing the IM option that can be seen under messaging and placing the chat app there, integrating it better.
>> The ability to sync the contacts with phonebook would be a good idea. Ideally, showing who all are online in the phonebook itself would be a winner.
Hope you guys do what you do best – connect people. Cheers!
